Tiffany & Co. Launches Leather and Makes a Move

Big News from the Jewelry Icon

This month, Tiffany & Co. launches its much anticipated Tiffany Leather Collection, the legendary American jeweler’s first in-depth handbag and accessories line. Design directors Richard Lambertson and John Truex culled through the Tiffany archives and found ample inspiration to create the 29-piece collection of satchels, shoulder bags, top-handle bags, wallets and card cases in a variety of leathers including glazed crocodile, ring lizard, snakeskin and natural-grain calf, with many dyed in rich jewel tones such as garnet and violet — even a Tiffany Blue. As to be expected, the designers included jewelry-inspired clasps and handles on many of the bags, including the Bracelet bag, a frame pouch with a chunky beaded wrist chain, all priced from $95 to $16,500. Also new in the sparkling world of Tiffany is a move within Galleria Dallas. Late this month, the iconic jeweler reveals its new location and lavish reinvention near Saks Fifth Avenue. The new design concept by S. Russell Groves (Coach, Armani Collezioni, Neiman Marcus Boston) is inspired by T&Co.’s Fifth Avenue flagship: Think sleek window displays laden with Tiffany Blue vitrines, fluted marble details, rift-oak showcases and a custom crystal chandelier. Let the little-blue-box obsession resume!
