For the second annual Fashion’s Night Out, on Friday September 10, every depot du jour is upping the ante with all sorts of exciting offerings. It’s going to be a nonstop night that’s sure to be oh-so-haute. Herein is your guide of where to be. So, throw on a Sartorialist-worthy ensemble, and get ready for take two.
St.John Boutique at the Galleria
Stop at the boutique and discover essential St. John items for fall from 5 to 8 pm. After absorbing what’s hot and what’s not, enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. And any lass who spends over a thousand dollars on the smart knits the brand is known for will receive an exclusive St. John lipstick pouch and compact mirror!
Neiman Marcus at The Galleria
From 6 to 8:30 pm, this PaperCity-sponsored fashion fete (cohosted by Neiman Marcus and Colton + Farb Gallery) delights with spa treatments, a “lash - lounge,” cocktails and custom cupkcakes at the oh-so-chic department store. In store too: Fall’s hottest looks (chosen by Neiman’s fashion director Ken Downing), will grace a catwalk.
Saks Fifth Avenue at the Galleria
Rock Out and Make Up from 6 - 9pm is sure to amp you up with all the acumen necessary to become a rousing rocker. Restaurants at CITYCENTRE will offer a sampler of cuisine, while Houston artists display their work. (An added bonus for those shopping the night away with Mastercard in hand: an exclusive Fashion’s Night out rock ’n’ roll playlist.)
Billy Reid at the Galleria
Like any true Southern brand, Billy Reid will welcome the masses with live music and libations from 6 to 11 pm. The night will also mark the appearance of Levis Workwear by Billy Reid on racks in the store.
The Galleria
The supersized shopping complex will stage fashion shows every hour, 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm, on the ice rink. Each show will feature a different style. To add to the fun, enjoy bites from surrounding restaurants and live entertainment after the shows.
Peel Gallery
The opening of a new fashion-focused exhibit at über-cool Peel Gallery certainly caught our eye: Libby Black’s “If Nothing Else Matters,” on view through October 16th. Black’s captivating paintings, drawings and sculptures meticulously portray luxury brand goods. The intersection of fashion and art makes us wonder: Is Art’s Night Out in the works?
