Saks Fifth Avenue and CancerForward have joined forces once again to host this year’s Key to the Cure Charity Shopping Weekend. The event kicks off Wednesday, October 16, 6:30 pm, with a first-floor cocktail party with Houston’s best sips and bites, live music, fall fashion and the fanciest rides in town. Chairs Sydney Ealand and Robert Eifler, Kristin and Jason Kaminsky, Brittany Sakowitz Kushner and Kevin Kushner, and PaperCity’s Kate Allen Stukenberg and Will Stukenberg introduce this year’s 11 honorees: the 2013 Houston Forward Movers Alison Ayres Bell, Grace L. Butler, Jason Connelly, Terri Dome, Marilu Garza, Sharon Graham, John Hrncir, Cynthia Cage McClain, Susan Pye, Rebecca Trahan, and PaperCity’s Seth Vaughan, each of whom is a community leader and cancer survivor. For the rest of the weekend, October 17 through 20, a percentage of sales will go towards fighting cancer. In addition, all proceeds from this year’s limited-edition Key to the Cure T-shirt, designed by Emilio Pucci and modeled by this year’s ambassador actress Jennifer Aniston, go directly to the charity (and at $35, they’ll go fast!). Kick-off event tickets $25 in advance; $50 at the door. Contact Lee Honeycutt, llh@cancerforward.org.
