A Canine's or Cat’s Best Comrade

He tends to a pair of Kessler Park Shelties who spin when they see a bus drive by, walks a Lakewood Yorkie who prefers to balance on street curbs, and checks on a Highland Park cat who greets him by pawing his left shoe. There’s someone out there who pays as much attention to your pet’s idiosyncrasies as you do? I’ve witnessed it firsthand, as Pet Home Pal owner Patrick Phelan cares for our two zany German Shorthaired Pointers while we’re away. Phelan will walk ($20 for 30-minutes), feed, and chauffeur your animal (cat, dog, turtle, you name it), and also offer home checks ($15) or overnight stays ($70). His service is perfect for those who can’t leave their Crescent Court office to relieve a Teacup Poodle, or for someone needing Whippets walked while they’re flying down a slope in Aspen. It's well worth the showering of affection Fifi will receive, as well as the absence of a shower on your favorite Aubusson rug. 214.418.8994; pethomepal.com.

Patrick also happens to walks the best dressed poodle in town, Gabby Sue. Gabby often greets Patrick in her pink and green camouflage hoodie or her grey velour tracksuit if she's just been doing Pilates. In the warmer months a Swaroski Crystal emblazoned Ed Hardy tiger t-shirt is more her day look.
