Pull yourself out of the pool for a second and consider a childhood without summers. For us we no longer really have one without camp, summer trips, Fourth of July fireworks, swimming at night or spending time with friends being, well, just a kid.
For Lucy Schuler, this isn't simply a consideration; it's life. Recently diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL), Schuler is missing out on what being a kid is all about due to spinal taps, chemotherapy and other treatments.
Enter I W Marks, aware of the toll Lucy's condition must be taking on her parents emotionally, physically and financially they'll graciously host a live auction Thursday, July first from 5 to 7pm at their flagship jewelry store at 3841 Bellaire Blvd. to raise funds to cover Lucy's medical costs. Be there, we know we don't want her and her family suffering the hardships any longer; after all, where's the fun in summer if you're watching it go by from a hospital bed and not a beach chair.
