Tootsies boutique tossed a baubles- and babies-themed bash to celebrate the Texas Children’s Maternity Center, opening in 2011. More than 100 fashionable femmes, including several moms-to-be, gathered for a preview of the state-of-the-art center and greeted Texas Children’s senior vice president Cris Daskevich. To launch the new addition, jewelry designer Mindy Lam unveiled a special keepsake pin, while a fashion show revealed that baby bumps deserve more than traditional maternity duds. In the crowd: Sidney Faust, Sandy McElligott, Ann Stern, Roz Pactor, Nidhika Mehta, Linda Kuykendall, and Elsie Eckert.
