The invite proclaimed “Pearls to Support Women and Girls,” drawing benevolent ones to a recent holiday shopping party at The Frog At Home that benefitted the Tahirih Justice Center and its mission to protect immigrant women and girls via U.S. legal services. The Frog’s Lynne Averett joined fellow Tahirih board members Sonia Azad and Michele Gibbons in chairing the charming afternoon, which presented a collection curated by Shanghai-based pearl dealer Amy Lin, alongside The Frog’s engaging home furnishings. Lustrous guests: Consul General of Turkey Cemalettin Aydin; Miz Averett’s husband John Averett and daughter Lauren Averett Byers; lucky lady Margaret Davis, who won one of the door prizes; Tahirih director Anne Chandler; Parvin McVey; Courtney Harker; and Kate Ribe.
