Historians and socialites jammed side-by-side at the launch of the new album Houston: Our Roots Are Strong. The preservation-focused night, hosted at the historic home of Phoebe and Bobby Tudor, benefitted Southwest Alternate Media Project. Guests previewed numbers from the new CD, which educates younger Houstonians about local landmarks, with performances by Leah White and the Magic Mirrors, accompanied by Sydney Brooks and Matthew Buchanan. Others enjoying the musical eve included co-producer Sarah Gish, Tracy and Junico Velarde, J.D. Bartell, Betsy and Rob McCeney, Denise and Danny Clark, and SWAMP director Mary Lampe.
