Collaborative Cocktails Celebrating Dominic Walsh Dance Theatre’s 10th Season

To celebrate Dominic Walsh Dance Theatre’s (DWDT) upcoming 10th season, co-chair trio Merritt Beck, Catherine D. Anspon, and Lauren Fred oversaw an evening that brought together three of our favorite things: art, dance and cocktails, poured by Hudson Lounge and sponsored by manolosandmartinis.com. Gremillion & Co. Fine Art hosted the soirée, aptly titled Collaborative Cocktails, which attracted devout supporters as well as those new to Houston’s innovative dance company for a preview performance of what the season holds in store. Gracing the walls were recent works by Houston-based painter Nicola Parente. Making the night all the more attractive were the sophisticated sounds spun by DJ GilT (of Unique Style Productions) and appetizing eats from H-Town StrEATs. En pointe: 2012 gala co-chair Jo Furr and husband Jim, Gremillion’s Elizabeth Arnold Moore and Harwood Taylor, DWDT’s Leigh McBurnett, and Diane Heitman.
