Foodies and performing arts patrons converged in the courtyard of the Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek for the 2012 TACA Lexus Party on the Green. Well-toqued chefs stirred signature dishes at tasting stations, including the hotel’s Bruno Davaillon, Stephan Pyles of Samar, Tim Byres of Smoke and Brian Luscher of The Grape. Top-notch tastes? Tuna sashimi with cucumber mint gel, tomatoes and piquillo peppers; whitefish with citrus salsa; and pan-seared scallops with Texas creamed corn, lobster and basil. These decadent bites stirred palates, while flamenco dancers and music by the Tony Hakim Quintet created a complementary feast for the eyes and ears. With a red-hot Lexus convertible up for auction and the announcement of the Golden Skillet Award to chef Matt Raso of Nobu, the fête proved to be much more than just a savory night under the stars. Experiencing near sensory overload: Chairmen Kristi and Ron Hoyl and Lisa and Bill Ogle, Suzanne and David Droese, Sherry and Kevin Rooker, Jacquelin and Phillip Taylor, Cara French, Julianna LeBlanc, Becky Young, Bob Boulogne, Katina Thornton, Emily Eisenhauer, Kim Lewis-Gleason, Paul Eisman, Marsha Cameron and Michael Halloran, Cecily and Scott Gooch.
