TITAS Bestows Leotards & Tutus
Grace and motion transformed the Winspear Opera House when classical and contemporary dancers hit the stage for TITAS’ 18th annual Command Performance, La Fête du Ballet. This year, TITAS collaborated with its honoree, Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, and choreographer Dwight Rhoden. Joining two students chosen as special guest dancers were performers from the Cincinnati Ballet, Jacoby & Pronk, MOMIX and the New York City Ballet. Tu-tu chic: Stacey McCord, Jeanne Marie Clossey, Read and Steve Gendler, Jody and Sheila Grant, and Charles Santos.
Trumpeting at Turtle Creek
Warbling in front of a crowd was no issue for brave nightingales Abi Ferrin, Peri Gilpin, Hunter Sullivan, Bret McKinney, Drew Henson, Rich Emberlin, Amy Vanderoef, and Leanne Locken at A Night at the Turtle Creek Karaoke Lounge benefitting Turtle Creek Recovery Center. Edison’s was the hot spot for this evening of memorable performances, live-auction bids, photo-booth snaps and cocktails. Spotted: co-chairmen Cary Deuber and Danya Anderson; honorary chairs Anne and Steve Stodghill; and Stevie Tate, Teffy Jacobs, David Rhoden, Rob Dailey, and Holly and Stubbs Davis.
