Private Benjamin? Cactus Flower? Shampoo? Overboard? The Salesmanship Club of Dallas' Evening with Goldie Hawn generated plenty of debate regarding everyone's favorite Goldie film. But once the Academy Award-winning actress took to the stage, all agreed her greatest talent may be helping children. More than 200 heavy hitters joined chairmen George Bramblett and Margo Goodwin at the home of Randy and Alan Engstrom to raise funds for the Salesmanship Club Youth and Family Centers' laboratory school. After a delectable dinner by Stephan Pyles Caters, a few good-natured jokes pertaining to red pants by president Charley Spradley and an inspiring speech from executive director designate Michelle Kinder (ravishing in a Lela Rose cocktail dress), Hawn chronicled her 10-year journey with The Hawn Foundation, an organization that develops classroom curriculum using social-emotional learning methods. Making the scene: Norm Bagwell, Sam Burford, David Calhoun, Nancy Dedman, Pete Geren, Susan McSherry, Anne Spradley, Micki Burns, and Becky Calos.
