More than 1,400 partygoers ‹ the highest attendance in three years ‹ descended upon the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra AT&T Opening Night Gala. Their presence added up to yet another big number: The evening generated more than $900,000 on behalf of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. Chairmen Jennifer and Coley Clark and honorary chairmen Dan and Stacey Branch led the way into the Eugene McDermott Concert Hall to listen to music director Jaap van Zweden and internationally renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma. The melodies continued into the wee hours, as DJ Lucy Wrubel presided over the after-party along with chairman Anna-Sophia van Zweden and honorary chairmen Katherine and Eric Reeves. Who danced the night away? Ben and Maxine Trowbridge, Katie Womack, Jim Keyes, Marcela Zevada, Owen Lindsey, Meg Stewart, and Carole and Scott Murray.
