Forty Five Ten is a style icon on its own, and with the extra wattage of Vogue international editor at large Hamish Bowles, the scene was blinding. Bowles drew legions of fans eager to have their copy of his new book Vogue: The Editor’s Eye, personally inscribed. “Hamish was so lovely to all the guests,” said owner Brian Bolke, “but I felt very sorry for his poor hand, signing all those books.” The man of the hour was accompanied by CFDA award-winning jewelry designer Dean Harris, who dazzled admirers with his stunning bijoux fashioned from organic materials, naturally shed horn, with 18K gold, platinum, silver and aluminum. Guests alternated between The Hamish (a mixture of Belvedere, cranberry juice and orange spice) and The Dean (a Belvedere gimlet), rocked to the beats of DJ Lucy Wrubel and delicately grazed on butternut squash shooters and lemon pistachio mini tarts courtesy of the T Room. Page-turners: Gonzalo Bueno, Nancy Dedman, Brad Kelley, Molly Miller, Niven Morgan, Jennie and Stuart Reeves, Jim and Jan Showers, Gregg Asher, David Martin, and Jim Musselman.
