The dazzling dozen doyennes, aka the 2013 Women of Distinction, were honored at the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation Renaissance Ball with utmost pomp and pageantry. Drumroll: This year’s leading ladies are Jana Arnoldy, Darlene Bisso, Donna Bruni, Arvia Few, Debbie Leighton, Nidhika Mehta, Alice Mosing, Liz Rigney, Elizabeth Stein, Pamela Wright, ambassador Sidney Faust, and Legendary honoree Margaret Williams, who fittingly rode into the affair in a carriage from the cinematic classic Gone With the Wind. For the occasion, the Hilton Americas–Houston ballroom was transformed into a lavish court, and the honorees were presented in a runway promenade. Bidding was fast and furious for the 2013 Mercedes-Benz GL450 and a beguiling necklace and bracelet from gemstone gent Franco Valobra of Valobra Jewelry & Antiques. Bidding, dining and dancing were chairs Danielle Ellis and Mary Ann McKeithan, honorary chairs Kelli Cohen Fein and Martin Fein, Cora Sue and Harry Mach, Gina and Devinder Bhatia, David Yurman’s Lauren Granello and Chris Kimbrough, and Amy Logan and Kiet Chu from Chanel.
