Trick of the eye. The tromp l’oeil fork painting was bought from the artist on a New York street. Country girl. The painting of a peasant girl was found, unframed, at a Rome street market — like many drawings and paintings in the house, encountered in unexpected places and purchased on impulse. Weekends were made for this. A new back deck and kitchen extension were the only structural changes made to the house. Produce from farmhousedelivery.com, which will deliver by the bushel.
