Sweet Treats Join Houston’s Food Delivery Revolution: Just Call the Dessert Fiat

BY // 11.14.15

Houston is experiencing a delivery revolution, and with it comes much more than pizza and Chinese take-out delivered directly to your door. Popular apps like Postmates, Favor, Zifty and the recently launched UberEats are making it possible to receive almost anything curbside, and now West Alabama bakery Petite Sweets is following suit with the launch of a free delivery service.

Just order a minimum of one dozen items and the Petite Sweets Fiat delivers your desired treats straight to your door. The only catch — the delivery must be within a five-mile radius of the shop. Even with the limited delivery zone, Owner Susan Molzan and partner Lee Ellis introduced the scheme in hopes of providing their growing customer base with instant gratification.

“Petite Sweets is all about making people happy, so what could be better than a box of macarons or cupcarons appearing at your front door or in your office?” Ellis said. “We’re always creating new ways to serve our customers.”

Lucky for me, the PaperCity offices are within the five-mile delivery radius. Nothing beats weekly macaron deliveries.
