Bill and Hillary Clinton Join Dave Chappelle in Hitting Texas’ Hottest New Concert Venue: Rare Joint Public Appearance for Clintons to be a Coveted Ticket

BY // 08.09.17

Former Secretary of State and 2016 Democratic Presidential Nominee Hillary Clinton and her husband former President Bill Clinton are set to make waves in Texas when they take the stage together at the state’s hottest new entertainment venue this fall. The political power couple will visit the brand-new Irving Music Factory on November 17 to speak and answer questions from the crowd in a rare joint appearance.

It will be the first major North Texas appearance for Hillary Clinton since she lost the presidential election to Donald Trump.

Hillary Clinton has slowly been reemerging into the public eye over the past few months. She appeared in Houston in April to speak at a luncheon for Annie’s List, a Texas group helping to elect democratic women.

The former presidential candidate is currently working on a memoir about the 2016 election titled What Happened. However, it’s unclear whether the politician will address her devastating loss at the event in the new mega concert complex. If she doesn’t bring it up, it’s a good bet that at least one of the audience questions will.

Bill Clinton was recently in Dallas to speak at the Presidential Leadership Scholars Graduation in July with former president and proud Dallas resident George W. Bush.

This kind of joint appearance from the Clintons is quite uncommon.

Tickets for the event will be available for purchase through Ticketmaster.com, starting this Friday, August 18. Ticket prices will start at $99.50 and go up much higher from there. It appears that only 4,000 tickets will be sold if the event’s kept as indoor-only affair.

The Clinton-palooza will take place in The Pavilion at the Irving Music Factory. The highly-anticipated $200 million development is slated to open over Labor Day weekend, and The Pavilion will be the first of its venues to debut.

A convertible indoor-outdoor concert venue, The Pavilion is owned and operated by Live Nation, the world’s largest concert promoter. The state-of-the-art facility can be used as an intimate theater setting for up to 2,500, an upscale arena for 4,000, or an open-air pavilion with room to seat 8,000 people.

In addition to hosting the Clintons, The Pavilion will also bring The Daily Show’s Trevor Noah; comedians Dave Chappelle (for a highly-anticipated opening weekend starting August 31), Chris Rock, and George Lopez; and several high-profile music stars to Irving.

But no one may top the Clintons in buzz — both good and bad.
