Easter Dinner: The 11 Best Houston Restaurants for the Brunch Heaven Holiday

BY // 03.19.16

Pastel bunnies and egg hunts aside, Easter Sunday isn’t complete without a proper holiday meal. And while a traditional Easter spread calls for dishes like yeast-raised pastries and rack of lamb, Houston’s restaurant scene offers a diverse lot of food-centric fêtes.

From tacos to French toast, here are our top picks for this year’s Easter feast.

ARCODORO
5000 Westheimer Road, 713.621.6888
A Sardinian feast awaits at Arcodoro. Experience the cuisine of the storied Italian island with an Easter brunch full of everything from egg-centric dishes and pasta to risotto, grilled meats and seafood.

ARNALDO RICHARDS’ PICOS
3601 Kirby Dr., 832.831.9940
When National Paella Day and Easter Sunday fall on the same date, it only makes sense to merge the two into one massive celebration. Picos will celebrate both holidays on Sunday, March 27, with its Grand Easter Brunch ($39). Expect traditional dishes like mole coloradito, a lamb stewed in red Oaxacan mole or chilaquiles verdes, tortilla strips topped with melted cheese, pulled chicken and a green tomatillo sauce.

A carving station of roasted lamb and tenderloin, a 28-foot dessert bar and a 54-inch paella pan will also be available.

CRU FOOD AND WINE BAR
2800 Kirby Dr., 713.528.9463; 9595 Six Pines Dr., The Woodlands, 281.465.9463
Experience Cru’s brand new brunch offerings this Easter with a three-course, prix-fixe menu ($28.95). Start with appetizers like goat cheese beignets or smoked salmon pizza. Then move to entrees like cinnamon swirl French toast and the Cru crab cake Benedict. Finish off your meal with a sweet indulgence like chocolate lava cake, a lemon tart or the crème brûlée.
