Houston’s Best Iced Coffee?

This Easy Treat Is a Sweet Must-Try

BY // 08.10.15

The shape of the bottle is what first attracted me. Then the color got my attention. (I love all things apothecary, and the brown glass had me at first glance.) Then I poured the contents into a ice-filled glass and things got even better. I was drinking Vietnamese iced coffee from Houston-based Caphin, and it’s become an almost-daily afternoon treat. It’s sweet without being cloying, and the flavors – Horchata, Black, Tradtional, and Artisan – are all made well.

The horchata  flavor was my introduction to the brand, and I found it much better than the horchata I drank at a Mexican restaurant a few days ago. It was creamy and had an ideal amount of cinnamon flavor.

One of the things I enjoy about dining at a Vietnamese restaurant is ordering a café sua da and watching the liquid drip into the glass; the wait and anticipation only make the drink better, and now I can get my fix on the go. Plus, I’m supporting a Houston-based company, an added bonus.
