One of Houston’s Best Steakhouses Catches Brunch Fever: It’s a Rodeo Thing

There’s no time quite like the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. For three weeks, Texans (from Houston and abroad) indulge in all things cowboy, taking part in everything from the highly anticipated barbecue cook-off to steer and horse shows to country music concerts. So it only made sense for Washington Ave. steakhouse and butcher shop B&B Butchers & Restaurant (what’s more Texan than steak?) to debut its brunch menu now.

While B&B Butchers’ main attraction is steak, the brunch menu features a diverse range of dishes, including a full collection of Benedicts; a special B&B hash prepared with prime rib, hash browns, house-smoked beef bacon, poached eggs and hollandaise sauce; and house-made gorilla bread — the restaurant’s original take on monkey bread (made with sage sausage, then topped with a poached egg and hollandaise sauce).

B&B also offers bottle service for guests, which highlights signature brunch libations like Bloody Marys, mimosas and white sangria, as well as specialty cocktails.

Of course, a rodeo-themed brunch kick-off isn’t complete without a little country music. The restaurant is embracing the spirit with three country music performances during the first weeks of brunch.

Justin Michael Bell takes the stage on Saturday, March 5, through Sunday, March 6. Bell is followed by Jonathan Moody on Saturday, March 12, and Sunday, March 13. Cody Joe Hodges rounds out the special feature with a performance on Saturday, March 19, and Sunday, March 20.
