With merely three days left in 2016, the scramble to lock down last-minute New Year’s plans has officially commenced. While there’s no shortage of grandiose bashes across Houston, for those seeking a more subdued fête, a food-centric affair is the perfect way to ring in 2017.

Here are 20 parties that are sure to channel the foodie in all of us.

Aces of Taste Presents Destination: Paris

Pop-up phenoms Aces of Taste present its signature dinner series this New Year’s Eve with the help of “Chopped” champion and Houston’s own chef Shannen Tune (Craft Burger Truck). Accompanied by wife Stacey Tune, the duo will prepare a four-course French pop-up dinner in Downtown’s warehouse district featuring delicate dishes such as dungeness, crab-stuffed endive salad; vanilla-scented parsnip soup; a duck duo of seared duck breast and duck leg confit; and a blueberry clafouti.

The Edison Houston

Snag one of two seatings (4 pm and 8 pm) at Le Colonial this New Year’s Eve, where chef Nicole Routhier unveils two, special, multi-course menus. Le Mistral

Bring in 2017 with a decadent meal prepared by Master Chef, David Dennis. The six-course, dinner features French favorites such as terrine de caille au foie gras — terrine of quail breast and foie gras; champagne granite — roasted Colorado lamb loin; and fromage de chèvre en croute de noix — walnut crusted Bucheron goat cheese. Lucille’s

Head to the Museum District for a Southern-inspired New Year’s Eve dinner at Lucille’s. Chef Chris Williams presents a festive five-course menu ($125) with cocktail/wine pairings. Brace yourself for dishes such as deconstructed oysters Rockefeller with bacon and lump fish caviar; Wagyu sashimi topped with charred puffed rice; beef tenderloin with butter-poached Maine lobster; crab cakes topped with Opelousas sauce; and gold-flaked crumbled fudge caked with raspberry sorbet. MKT Bar

A bevy of cultural cuisine takes center stage at MKT Bar’s Global Dance Party from 9pm to 2 am. Enjoy everything from Chinese-style barbecue pork ribs and potato samosas with mint chutney to Lebanese feta flatbread and Brazil crab-stuffed cheese bread. Houston’s own DJ Sun provides tunes for the night’s festivities.

The next morning, head back Downtown for MKT Bar’s signature chicken and waffles, which are half-priced New Year’s Day.

The Original Ninfa’s on Navigation

Brunch it up this New Year’s Day with a Tex Mex feast from executive chef Alex Padilla. Whether you’re in need of Ninfa’s red chile pork posole — a traditional Mexican hangover soup, or you’re searching for a more traditional brunch dish such as the huevos rancheros, Ninfa’s New Year’s Day menu has you covered.

The restaurant will also offer $3 Dos XX, Pacifico, and Negra Modelo draft beers in addition to extending its Sunday hours to 4 pm. 

Peska Seafood Culture

Dive into seafood this New Year’s Eve with Peska’s multi-course menu options. A three ($75) and four-course ($95) will be available from 5 to 8 pm, featuring dishes such as seared foie gras, roasted branzino, madai ceviche, pan-seared scallops, grilled pork tenderloin and more. Pi Pizza

For those that would rather a New Year’s Eve celebration at home, Pi Pizza is offering delivery until 2 am. That’s right you can get Anthony Calleo‘s whimsical creations — think pizzas topped with everything from blackberries and bacon-braised collard greens to lemon-roasted cauliflower and  macaroni and cheese — delivered straight to your front door.

Toulouse

Take advantage of Toulouse’s special New Year’s Eve menu. Triniti Restaurant and Bar

Astrology takes center stage at Triniti’s New Year’s Eve Zodiac dinner. The 12-course feast ($195) designed by executive chef Ryan Hildebrand features a dozen dishes inspired by each zodiac sign, featuring everything from a Leo-inspired duck dish and a Sagittarius-inspired pheasant and apple tagine to a Scorpio-inspired salt-rusted venison and an Aquarius-inspired coconut panna cotta and spiced cake.
