Houston’s Winter Music Festival Becomes a Late-Night Affair: Full Day For Night Schedule Revealed — Your Must-Sees & Surprises

BY // 11.14.16

It’s almost here… the full weekend schedule for year two of Houston’s winter arts/music festival Day For Night (December 17 and 18) dropped this morning, and we could not be more excited to begin planning which stages to camp out at. Figuring out how you’re going to crisscross the Barbara Jordan Post Office campus to hit a stage just as another one of your faves finishes performing is an art in itself.

Aphex Twin headlines Saturday night (Dec. 17) on the Red Stage, going against Run the Jewels (Killer Mike + El-P) on the Green Stage. Sunday night (Dec. 18) sees Houston rapper Travis Scott dueling electronic savant Arca for a headlining spot, before Bjork Digital takes the Blue Stage.

Aside from the headliners, you’ll catch us Saturday at the Green Stage for Blood Orange and Sunday at the Red Stage for Kamasi Washington (on top of trying to get to tons of other great musical acts and attempting to cram as many installation visits into both days). The biggest surprise so far? Saturday and Sunday’s Blue Stage acts go all the way till 2 am, prolonging Day For Night into… well, the night. (Last year in the first Day for Night, Saturday night outdoor stage shows ended at 11 pm and Sunday night shows closed at 10.)

A limited number of one-day passes have been released. They’re $100.  View the schedule and pick a day to go, or just plan out your weekend accordingly. For the full schedule and ticket info, click here.
