Welcome to the 2017 Houston PaperCity Design Awards 

We invite Houston area interior designers and architects, regardless of affiliation, to enter the 2017 Design Awards.

The entry period closes on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 11:59 PM CDT.

On Monday, May 15, 2017, the winning entries will be announced and celebrated at an invitation-only awards ceremony, with Martyn Lawrence Bullard and Mark D. Sikes presenting the awards.

Winners will additionally be showcased in the October 2017 PaperCity Home + Art issue, 60,000 circulation, and online at papercitymag.com 

Our 2017 Judges are L.A.-based designers Martyn Lawrence Bullard and Mark D. SikesKatie Ridder, and architect Peter Pennoyer.

 

Martyn Lawrence Bullard is a member of the AD 100 and Elle Decor A-List, and is a star on Million Dollar Decorators. His newest book is Martyn Lawrence Bullard: Design and Decoration, and he has designed homes for Elton John, Cher, Tommy Hilfiger's Miami beach house, Colony Palms Hotel in Palm Springs, and Chateau Gutsch in Switzerland, once home to Queen Victoria.

 

Mark D. Sikes has published Beautiful, All American Decorating and Timeless Style, to much acclaim, and has designed the interiors of Reese Witherspoon's Draper James boutiques, set for screenwriter Nancy Meyers, and he has been published in Architectural Digest, Veranda and House Beautiful.

 

NYC-based designer Katie Ridder is a member of the Elle Decor A-List and has appeared on top 100 designer lists in House Beautiful and New York magazine. Her work has been published in Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, House Beautiful, Town & Country, the New York Times, and Domino and is the subject of the monograph Katie Ridder Rooms (Vendome). She is the author of A House in the Country, written with her husband, architect Peter Pennoyer, which chronicles the country home they built and decorated in Milbrook, New York.

 

NYC-based architect Peter Pennoyer is a member of Architectural Digest’s AD100. His clients include The Mark Hotel in New York, David Webb jewelers, and The Hotchkiss School. He is coauthor, with Anne Walker, of five books on early 20th-century American architectural practices. The newest, Harrie T. Lindeberg and the American Country House, will be released in late 2017. He is also the author of A House in the Country, written with his wife, interior decorator Katie Ridder.
