The Health Museum invites Houstonians to celebrate and toast to its educational programming in science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM) at its largest fundraiser of the year, Cheers to Your Health: STEAMPunk. The Texas Medical Center member institution is Houston’s most interactive science learning center and the only Smithsonian Affiliate in the Houston Museum District, and this year celebrates its 21st anniversary as the most visited museum of its kind in the nation.
Since first opening its doors in 1996, The Health Museum has welcomed well more than 2.6 million guests and served thousands of local youth through its educational programming, including hands-on Summer and Fall Discovery Camps, its annual Faces of Innovation: Global Teen Summit, Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts activities, school field trips, as well as through its permanent and traveling exhibitions.
Cheers to Your Health: STEAMPunk will feature an evening of libations and savory culinary treats from local eateries, restaurants, and farmer’s markets. The event also will explore the technology of wines, tonics and potions. Mr. William S. Gilmer, MD, will serve as the Event Chair.
Cheers to Your Health- STEAMpunk will take place Friday, October 27th, 2017 from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. at The Health Museum, 1515 Hermann Dr. Houston, Texas, 77004. Proceeds raised during the fundraising event will support all STEAM programming available for families and youth at The Health Museum.
