The theme this year is Women’s Empowerment, since October is National Domestic Violence Awareness month, and the beneficiary will be Mosaic Family Services and its affiliated charities. October 30th is also the Indian festival of lights, Diwali. The underlying sentiment of the event is “Bring light to someone’s life”.
Charity: Mosaic is a safe haven for survivors of human rights abuses, including human trafficking and domestic violence.
Program: Fashionistas and attendees will come together for this one-of-a-kind fundraiser in one of the most unique settings in Dallas – the Dallas Palms.
The night will kick off with a VIP Networking event at 7:30 pm in the Melrose Ballroom. Guests can enjoy passed appetizers and drinks, with curated selections from Dallas’ well-known chefs, while mingling with local celebrities.
The Silk Threads Fashion Show will begin at 8:45 pm in the Bel Air Ballroom, featuring a custom collection for women and men from fashion designer, Ruby Bhandari. The models will strut the runway as guests enjoy cocktails and admire the meticulously crafted designs that combine modern styles with the ornate beauty of Indian traditional design elements. DJ Riz Entertainment will be spinning the latest international music to keep the party going till the wee hours…
In addition, guests can purchase raffle tickets for chances to win great raffle prizes like air tickets for two to Asia. They can also take fun photos in a Photo Booth – complete with an Indian-inspired backdrop and props.
