Main Street has been the talk of many and the center of attention in recent months. Tomorrow, the fashionable buzz culminates in what we’re dubbing the event of the season.
Luxury shopping destination Forty Five Ten is celebrating its new downtown Dallas digs — which opened just last month — with a star-studded fête on Saturday, December 10 from 12 to 4 pm on levels one, two, and three. Texas supermodel Erin Wasson (showing off her fine jewelry collection, Wasson Fine, at a trunk show on level two from 2 to 4 pm), and the rare bird herself, Iris Apfel (personal appearance from 12 to 4 pm), are just two of the noteworthy names in attendance.
Also from 12 to 4 pm, there will be personal appearances throughout the store by Ippolita, Nicholas Kirkwood (you won’t want to miss his special sketching event), Edward Bess, Matthew Malin and Andrew Goetz (of Malin + Goetz), Eddie Borgo, Selima Salaun (of Selima Optique), Dana Lorenz (of Fallon), Douglas Little (of artisanal fragrance label Heretic Parfum), and Jodi Lyn O’Keefe.
A signing event (12 to 4 pm) with artist and Instagram sensation Donald Robertson — aka “Drawbertson — will also take place, and daring interior designer Ken Fulk will sign copies of his new book Mr. Ken Fulk’s Magical World, also from 12 to 4 pm.
The icing on the three-tiered cake is that 10 percent of the day’s sales will benefit five charities: Booker T. Washington High School for the Visual and Performing Arts, the North Texas Food Bank, Cafe Momentum, The Bridge, and the S.P.C.A.
