Dallas Retail Rap

What’s next … what’s new … on the Dallas retail scene.

The Next Chapter
We were sad to see Number One (and Chapter Two) close December 31, but here’s some good news for those who regularly got their juice fix at Highland Park Village’s healthy cafe: The Dallas-based Vim + Vigor brand is still available at Forty Five Ten. The 100 percent organic-certified, non-GMO juice blends are cold-pressed and contain the freshest available produce.

Now Open!
Following a mid-January soirée, Times Two Design opens a new studio/showroom Tuesday, February 3, at 6445 Cedar Springs Road. Lauren Renfrow founded the lighting and home accessories brand in 2012; her pieces are also available at Hess, Mecox and Madison.

Stopping Traffic
TRAFFIC LA, the contemporary designer boutique inside The Joule Hotel, has brand-new offerings: Pierre Balmain (a Texas exclusive), at the women’s store, and Etro and Neil Barrett (a Texas exclusive) at the men’s.

Rebranded
Donald J. Embree Antiques on Slocum Street in the Dallas Design District has a new name: Embree & Lake. Marc Lake, the late Mr. Embree’s business partner, has rebranded the antiques shop to pay tribute to the pair’s friendship and reflect the merging of Embree’s sustainable characteristics with Lake’s modern practices. A Dwell With Dignity fête Tuesday, February 10, celebrates the name change and newly staged showroom.
