J.J. Watt Loves Teaming Up with this Dallas Brand

Does Fashion Trump All?

BY Hannah Kirkpatrick // 07.21.17

Already a longtime supporter of Dallas-based menswear label Mizzen+Main, Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt now has his very own collection with the brand.

The J.J. Watt Collection debuted this month, a limited-edition set of eight sleek shirts: six dress shirts and two polos designed by the football star. Each one reflects what Mizzen+Main is known for — performance-based menswear you never have to iron or take to the dry cleaner.

Watt stuck to a classic patriotic color palette that can transition from formal to casual. With names like Foxwood and East Sutton, the pieces reference important places in his life.

“I take pride in how I look and dress when I’m off the field,” Watt says, “which is why I started working with Mizzen+Main years ago. Their dress shirts look sharp and keep me comfortable, the perfect combo.”

Southern Methodist University alum Kevin Lavelle founded Mizzen+Main in 2012, on a mission to create the world’s most comfortable dress shirt made with moisture-wicking, wrinkle-resistant fabric that offers a four-way stretch (and is machine washable). Currently, the brand’s shirts are available online and in more than 370 retail shops both in the U.S. and abroad.

In Dallas, shop the shirts at Nordstrom NorthPark Center, DLM Supply Co., and Saint Bernard. In Houston, visit Nordstrom at the Galleria, Saint Bernard, and Norton Ditto.
