Neiman Marcus’ Fantasy Christmas Gift List Will Make Any Billionaire Happy: The Best (and Most Unique) Presents Money Can Buy

BY // 10.17.17

Since Neiman Marcus started dreaming up fantasy gifts in its legendary Christmas Book (the first was a Black Angus Steer delivered with a silver-plated serving cart in 1959), the retailer has given a new meaning to holiday cheer. Jaw-dropping presents of years past include a Noah’s Ark, his and hers mummy cases, a submarine and a custom suit of armor.

Yet, somehow, the fantasy gifts manage to inspire awe each year. Neiman Marcus released the 91st edition of the Christmas Book today and unveiled a few unbelievable items. Here are a few of our favorite Fantasy Gifts…

Olympia Le-Tan Bespoke Handbag Collection and Parisian Experience

A gift for the chicest bookworm you know. Witty and whimsical designer Olympia Le-Tan will create six of her embroidered “book” clutches for the lucky recipient, who will have a chance to visit Le-Tan’s atelier in Paris. The gift includes a two-night, three-day jaunt to the City of Lights, complete with a sketch session and lunch at Le Voltaire with Le-Tan and accommodations at the Ritz Paris. $45,000

Gray Malin Aerial Photo Adventure

What’s better than a helicopter tour for two above the sunny beaches of Los Angeles and Malibu? Having a world-renowned photographer in tow to document the incredible experience.

Gray Malin, famous for his beachy, wanderlust-inducing photographs, will host a private helicopter excursion, aerial photo session, and post-flight champagne toast. After the experience, giftees will select a photograph for Malin to print, sign, frame and send. Two night hotel room included. $35,000

Paper for Water Origami Ornaments

A gorgeous gift that gives back. Two young sisters founded this nonprofit, which sells handmade paper origami ornaments to fund clean-water wells for communities in need. Each ornament is composed of more than 30 sheets of paper and requires more than 10 hours to assemble.

A single ornament costs $50. The ornaments are also sold as a collection of 250 for $50,000 – enough to fund two clean water wells.

Stephen Webster Experience and 7.2 Carat Emerald

Because sometimes a massive emerald simply isn’t enough, Neiman Marcus found a way to make the extravagant gift even more romantic. This gift will take you to Gemfield’s Kagem mine in Zambia with master jeweler Stephen Webster, where you can marvel at raw emeralds straight from the source. After two days at The Royal Livingstone Hotel and a visit to Victoria Falls, you’ll head to London for a stay at the Connaught Hotel.

There, you’ll meet Webster in his studio and collaborate on a one-of-a-kind piece for your new gem. The journey concludes with a private dinner with Webster and his wife at their home. The personalized jewelry piece will be delivered to you back home, along with a signed sketch of the design. $300,000

Other items on the wish list of our dreams? Yours & Mine Rolls-Royce Limited-Edition Dawns in “Lago di Como” blue ($439,625) and “Saint-Tropez” orange ($445,750); the ultimate dollhouse from Madame Alexander ($8,000); and a New Year’s Eve extravaganza for 300 guests at The Knickerbocker Hotel in Times Square ($1.6 million).
