No-Fuss Luxury Brand With Lululemon Ties Gets Wheels: Houston’s New Airstream Boutique

BY // 03.05.16

World tours aren’t reserved for your favorite music artists only. Vancouver-based luxury apparel brand Kit and Ace has embarked on its own worldwide jaunt, ditching the mundane tour bus for a custom-crafted Airstream dubbed the Copper Studio. A showroom on wheels, the metallic trailer will visit Kit and Ace’s newest markets, connecting with locals and creatives along the way.

Houston, which garnered its first Kit and Ace location in Rice Village in November 2015, marks one of the last stops on the Copper Studio’s  journey, before it jets to Australia. Houstonians will have the chance to shop the trailer’s fully merchandised interior, which was created to mimic the brand’s brick and mortar outposts.

Copper Studio's journey has been deemed The Grand Tour after the classic European cultural rite of passage. The Grand Tour kicked off on April 18 in California.

Kit and Ace was founded in 2014 by Shannon and JJ Wilson, the wife and son of Lululemon founder Chip Wilson. The brand specializes in contemporary, comfortable basics, which are all crafted with its trademarked technical cashmere.

The Copper Studio will be parked at the Houston Livestock show and Rodeo on Saturday, March 5, and at men’s boutique Manready Mercantile on Sunday, March 6.
