In 1998, jewelry and interior designer Katie Scott bookmarked a spread of a Vicente Wolf-designed home in Architectural Digest — the budding designer was attracted to the peaceful note Wolf’s vignettes convey.

She still has the issue nearly 20 years later. The law of attraction worked: Scott befriended Wolf and has now collaborated with him on a jewelry collection, available via Scott’s website and Wolf’s showroom in New York.

“I do not believe in coincidences, so I consider this to be a divine collaboration,” Scott says. “The first collection is inspired by nature and architecture.”

Wolf is known for incorporating natural elements in his interiors — nature inspired the first collection, which is composed of gold, sterling silver, and leather, with white topaz and diamonds. The Agapi collection evokes the Himalayan Droesera flower known for its healing powers, while Rocca mimics rock formations and symbolize stability and strength. The exquisite Pine Needle pendant necklace and earrings honor the creativity of one of Wolf’s friends: They were on a nature walk when she picked up pine needles and used them as earrings.

“My aesthetic in interiors has always been about calm, detailed elements that translate into a soft environment that plays off nature,” Wolf says. “This was the approach Katie Scott and I took to collaborate on this collection. I always wanted to design jewelry, and working with Katie provided special moments. Her focus on spirituality helped me find a peaceful comfort when merging interior design with jewelry design. Not only is this collection a token of our love for design, it represents our inner peace.”

A second collection, from Scott and Wolf inspired by the Duchess of Windsor is already in the works.

On Thursday, May 18 at 3 pm, Scott and Wolf will be appearing at the inaugural Texas Design Week in Houston for a Round Table Discussion at the West Egg Pop Up Shop at West Avenue. They will discuss their jewelry collaboration and the spiritual lifestyle movement in jewelry and design. Cocktails and a trunk show of the jewelry collection will follow. Wolf will sign his book The Four Elements of Design: Interiors Inspired by Earth, Water, Air and Fire (Rizzoli).

Katie Scott x Vicente Wolf $99 to $4,800, available at West Egg Pop Up Shop at West Avenue, 2800 Kirby Drive, on Thursday, May 18 at 3 pm during Texas Design Week. To purchase tickets and for more information on Texas Design Week, go to texasdesignweek.com.
