What: An Evening at The Bryan

Where: The Bryan Museum in Galveston

Who: Chairs Martha Turner and Glenn Bauguss; honoree and museum namesake J.P. Bryan and wife Mary Jon Bryan with son/daughter John Bryan and Alicia Bryan; John Nau, presenting the Texas Historical Commission’s John L. Nau III Award of Excellence in Museums to J.P. Bryan, with Nau’s wife Bobbie; Linda and Steve Ivy, Mark Wolfe, Armin and Gail Cantini, and Lyle Lovett

PC Moment: The Bryan Museum in Galveston serves to educate, preserve, and promote the history and the art of the American West. In its inaugural gala benefitting the museum’s Children’s Center, more than 300 adventurous patrons hit the island in a special recognition of the resilience of residents of Galveston following The Storm of 1900 and Hurricane Ike in 2008.

The Grammy award-winning and Houston-born Lyle Lovett, honored as the Texas State Musician, held court with a rousing live performance following a cocktail reception and seated dinner courtesy of chef Grady Spears and his Cowboy Cooking catering.
