Matt Camron Rugs Takes Dallas // Re:Defining Reed // Talking with Tomei

BY Jane Rozelle // 12.09.14

Kenny Goss opened the doors of his home to host jewelry connoisseur Todd Reed when he breezed into town for an evening of cocktails and shopping at Ylang 23. Goss, alongside Joyce Goss and Joanne Teichman, hosted the VIP crowd as they perused precious gems from Reed’s collection, where a portion of all sales benefitted MTV Re:Define. After guestshad their fill of sparkling stones, it was off to Bistro 31 for private fine-dining affair. The following evening, quite a few soirées forced partygoers to divide and conquer — such as a birthday celebration for home-design boutique Blue Print, nestled in a little house on Fairmont (with a blue door, of course). Blue Print is the hub for all things interiors and home goods. There to celebrate four years of fabulousness were friends, family and clients, who were treated to a festive evening filled with margaritas, tacos and a private jam session with Fort Worth-based band Green River Ordinance. For those not redecorating that evening, guests visited Neiman Marcus downtown for the annual Vine and Dine fund-raiser held by Ability Connection Texas and chaired by Suzanne and Don Laidlaw alongside Christie and John Reniger. The evening was a huge success with sumptuous treats served from the Zodiac, ranging from eggplant caviar to spiced appletinis the crowd was delightfully vined and dined. The next evening, cinephiles and socials merged at the Perot Museum for the annual Art of Film held by the Dallas Film Society. This year’s honoree was the wildly talented Marisa Tomei, who dazzled the crowd with her charming wit and conversation during an open forum with guests moderated by world-renowned film critic Elvis Mitchell.
