A Hotel Bar in Disguise: Dallas’ New Hotspot Defies Convention and Puts on the Ritz

BY // 12.01.15

Hello, gorgeous: The Ritz Carlton, Dallas, has a new sipping spot. Disguised as a world traveler’s trunk, the Tequila Library in the lobby is as much a conversation piece as it is a functional bar. Off-hours, its polished-chrome outer shell camouflages the moody, leather-clad space and its array of fine sipping tequilas.

It’s part of the recently unveiled renovation by Montreal-based Patty Xenos Design; other deft design touches include Dutch designer Marcel Wanders’ grand-scale illuminated urns that cast light and flower-petal shadows. Now you’re puttin’ on the Ritz.
