Houston’s Own Park Place: New Mid-Rise Comes With Its Own Sky Bar and Plenty of Green

BY Chris Baldwin and Jailyn Marcel // 01.05.16

[special-blockquote]With more than 40 new luxury high-rise and mid-rise projects under construction in Houston, keeping up with the city’s vertical boom requires much more than counting cranes. In this new PaperCity online series, we’ll look at all the top luxury high-rises and mid-rises in various stages of completion throughout the area.

We’ll compare square footage, amenities, views from the top, luxe factors, walkability and price for the definitive guide to Houston’s new high life. You’ll find out about everything from the starchitects and the kitchen specs to the pet perks.

Next up: Aria at Willowick Park, a seven-story luxury mid-rise that’s part of a new three-project complex in the heart of the loop. Central Market and the new River Oaks District are both within walking distance. Yet, this Martin Fein development may be most defined by its vision of being a self-contained community.

There is a one-acre park right on site, and all three luxury living complexes — Aria, Olympia at Willowick Park (another mid-rise) and The Townhomes at Willowick Park (38 three-story townhouses) — are built around green spaces. Dog lovers, rejoice! Add in a Sky Bar on site with sixth-floor views of The Galleria, and suddenly those stay-at-home nights take on a whole new definition.

Sometimes, it’s good to be able to get out and play without actually getting out of your complex.

Project: ARIA AT WILLOWICK PARK
