BY // 06.02.17

Craftsmanship and philanthropy collide for the the 13th annual Empty Bowls Houston presented by Whole Foods Market. The lunch fundraiser, which benefits Houston Food Bank, tasks local ceramists and craft artists with creating 1,500 one-of-a-kind bowls — a project that represents the growing empty bowls across the world.

For a minimum donation of $25, patrons are gifted one of the featured bowls and served a lunch of soup and bread provided by Whole Foods. The simple meals serves as a reminder of those still plagued by hunger throughout Houston and beyond.

The art-filled day will also showcase live music and artists demonstrations, making for the perfect family-friendly outing.
