Texas’ Most Unique Park Draws a Horde of Celebrity Chefs for Its Signature Weekend: Lineup Reveal Shows the Stars are Coming

BY // 08.04.17

Top chefs from throughout the state and country will head to Dallas this fall for the third annual Park & Palate, Klyde Warren Park’s signature fundraiser. The two-day long event includes a unique tasting inspired by Texas’ culinary scene, wine, beer and spirits from around the globe, and a live concert.

Park & Palate kicks off with an exclusive VIP evening dubbed “Down to the Roots” on Friday, October 13, and continues with the Grand Tasting on Saturday, October 14.

This year, the event has been given the theme “Pillars and Protégés.” Well-known pillar chefs will work with innovative up-and-comers to create collaborative dishes for the tasting.

“We are thankful to have the support of so many talented, culinary icons for this year’s event,” Klyde Warren Park president Tara Green said in a statement. “The Pillars and Protégés theme certainly brings a unique twist, which is what Klyde Warren Park is all about.”

Chefs participating in the foodie event include culinary giants Dean Fearing, Kent Rathbun, Tyson Cole, Jason Dady and Richard Ruskell. The lineup will get even more interesting over the next few weeks, as participating chefs choose a partner to collaborate with at the event.

“Having the opportunity to select a partner chef at the event will be such a great way to have a one-of-a-kind lineup. We will be able to really showcase our passion through our collaborative dishes. It will truly be a rare and exclusive experience unlike any other Dallas event,” Rathbun said in a statement.
