PC Moment: It was the chicest Catwalk for a Cure ever — the highly anticipated evening, so popular it sold out in May, did not disappoint. More than 460 members of the stylish set filled the glittering new venue, sipping on Tenenbaum Jewelers champagne (Veuve Clicquot with a Tenenbaum label) — $100 glasses of the bubbly came with the opportunity to win a stunning light yellow (the symbolic color of Sarcoma) trillion cut diamond set on 18k gold chain valued at $12,900. In a fun and fitting twist of fate, Alexandra Knight deservingly won the raffle (and word is she has yet to take off the necklace). Amschwand founder Missy Bellinger and stand-in emcee Lisa Malosky (Deborah Duncan’s car hit a pothole en route) delivered a beautiful program to raise awareness for one of the most under-funded cancers, before a high energy fashion show presented by Saks featured Monique Lhuillier’s Spring 2016 confections. Auctioneer Jeff Smith raked in jaw-dropping funds for the foundation, as eager guests bid on gorgeous Tenenbaum jewels, trips to Puerto Vallarta, New Orleans and the Mukul Beach, Golf & Spa in Nicaragua, and tickets to a Monique Lhuillier NYFW show and gown valued at $12,200. All in the evening raised a record-breaking $750,000 to benefit sarcoma cancer research and to provide housing for patients receiving treatment.
