What: Dallas Junior Forum 40th Anniversary Spring Luncheon

Where: Belo Mansion and Pavilion

PC Moment: Philanthropists gathered in the lavish Belo Mansion ballroom to celebrate Dallas Junior Forum’s 40th year of serving North Texas. While guests noshed (think pink champagne soup), keynote speaker and lifestyle expert/entrepreneur Kimberly Schlegel Whitman delivered an engaging speech dubbed, “Adventures in Philanthropy: How Trying To Give Back Changed My Life And Career.”

The silent auction drew many bids from the benevolent bunch, raising beaucoup bucks to provide monetary grants to the many nonprofit organizations supported by Dallas Junior Forum, including Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center, Interfaith Family Services, and Juliette Fowler Communities. Since its founding in 1977, Dallas Junior Forum has donated more than $1 million in grants to non-profits throughout the city, making it one of the most charitable forces to be reckoned with.

Philanthropic Adventurists: Dallas Junior Forum president, Mary Lou Fleming; luncheon chair, Mary Cartwright; and mistress of ceremonies, Jane McGarry.
