BY // 03.31.15

Decorative Center Houston president/owner Charles S. Cohen invites us all to this one-day-only market, which showcases the latest trends in home decor. All DCH showrooms will be open for the occasion, with many launching their newest lines for 2015. The day also includes many special events, culminating in the eighth annual Stars of Design and fourth annual Stars on the Rise Awards (5 pm, Ground Floor Gallery). Earlier in the day, Andrea Favaretto Rubelli (CEO of Donghia, Inc.; co-CEO of Rubelli) will narrate a unique exhibition created by the Rubelli Design Studio in Venice, with a 9 am breakfast followed by a keynote presentation at 10 am in the Ground Floor Gallery. Krissa Rossbund (senior style editor, Traditional Home) will school designers in getting their work noticed by magazines at 11 am. Meredith Xavier (founder of Ligné Agency) will discuss “Having It All: The Guide to Simultaneously Running & Marketing a Successful Design Business” at 1 pm, also in the Ground Floor Gallery. Nina Magon (Contour Interior Design) will discuss how to appeal to traditional-minded clients in a modern way at 2 pm in the Andrew Martin Showroom. Throughout the day, architectural photographer Durston Saylor will display 20 large-format abstractions in his “Circumstantial Evidence” exhibition in space 107.
