What: Rhythm in the Heights

Where: Fountain Park on 26th, 939 West 26th Street

PC Moment: The Heights’ first gated community that’s a combination of custom luxury three-story townhomes and single-family homes — Fountain Park on 26th — morphed into a food festival of sorts with its first-ever Rhythm in the Heights event.

More than 250 guests flocked to the al fresco soiree, which was hosted by custom home builder Partners in Building. The company’s developing luxury homes served as a posh back drop for some of the city’s most seasoned chefs — Robert Del Grande (Café Annie), Ryan Pera (Coltivare and Revival Market), and newcomer Roberto Espinosa (Tacodeli) — who performed a series of interactive grilling demos with the help of Fox 26 Houston’s Ruben Dominguez.

Partygoers enjoyed the fruits of the chefs labor: Del Grande’s barbacoa-style grilled chicken wings with sarsaparilla adobo sauce; seasoned grilled chicken and corn courtesy chef Pera; and 44 Farms beef tenderloin thanks to chef Espinosa.

Guests also enjoyed in a series of bites from food trucks such as Oh My Gogi!, Skratch Food Truck, and Truck on the Bayou, accompanied by a bevy of libations courtesy Beviamo International, Deep Eddy Vodka, Titanium Tequila, and Yellow Rose Distilling and gelato via Grizzaffi Coffee Catering.
