Texas’ Wine Master Takes Houston to School: Special Sessions at UH Offer a Rare Chance for Insights

BY // 11.06.16

He’s a certified master sommelier, and he knows his stuff. He’s got not an ounce of pretension, he’s generous with his time, and he loves wine. (He even grows grapes on his vineyard in Blanco, Texas and one of his sons makes wine in California.) Spending time in his company is an enjoyable and educational experience, and whenever I share a table and bottles with him the hours fly by in the most pleasant of ways.

His name is Guy Stout, and here’s your chance to learn from the master, because for four evenings this month he’ll lead you on a tasting and learning tour around the world, beginning with New World wines and ending in France. Stout’s classes sell out, so don’t delay.
