Houstonians are undeniably a fashionable bunch whether it’s the swans in their ballgowns, the peacocks in their male splendor or the hipsters in their of-the-moment street style. During the year, PaperCity has chronicled, through our party lens, the H-Town penchant for dressing up; and in this year end review, we take a look back at some of the show stoppers.
No question, the dress-to-kill event of 2016 was the Van Cleef & Arpels celebration at the home of John and Becca Cason Thrash. La Becca elevated the fashion bar to the stratosphere in a dazzling gilded gown by Naeem Khan. The black-tie crowd rose to the occasion which is why you will see more photos here from that event than from any other.
Not every fashion hit parade has to be a fancy dress party as you will see with our selections from a variety of socials ranging from Catwalk for a Cure to young professional events. And, of course, what would a fashion review be without a second look at a few of the belles attending the Houston Ballet Ball.
