BY Esther Kim // 03.24.17

Republic Square, a newly debuted event and recreational campus in the Energy Corridor, will host the inaugural ART IS AN Outdoor Market this Saturday, bringing ambitious artists and artisans together at one convenient venue. The event is the brainchild of The Art Cellar of Houston’s Sarah Lowe and Marco Guerra, the founder of Guerra Studios.

In addition to unique works by local artists, the artisan market will also feature specialty purveyors displaying different mediums from Houston and beyond.

Participants include acrylics master A Patton Fine Art, antique jewelry brand Sweet Olive Studios, CultGrrl Creations‘ crotched designs, decor company The Paper Carousel, Black Tea Cafe‘s mixed media art, Yara Charms JewelryNando’s Honey Bee FarmRockin JR Ranch‘s jam and salsas, seasonal florals from Passion Flowers by Holly, accessories by YasminSidRebel, and more.

Children will also be able to make their own crafts through a series of classes and private lessons, while Foodies Gourmet, Rouge Wine Bar and Le Mistral will provide a pop-up French dining experience alongside live music and a DJ. Of course, the event’s free entry is an added bonus.
