PC Moment: Timothy Beatley, professor of Sustainable Communities in the School of Architecture at the University of Virginia, captivated some 350 guests with his talk on “biophilic cities” or cities in which citizens can connect with nature and the benefits gained. Marie Louise and David Kinder chaired the event that celebrated the Parks Board’s 40th anniversary and raised $580,000.
