How to Get Into Every Exclusive Houston Super Bowl Party: A Big Spender’s Guide

BY // 01.17.17

Party animals, perk up! When it comes to Super Bowl LI, you can throw the words “private party” out the window, because, baby, if you’ve got the dough, you can go. The party picture has changed since the exclusive party scene of Houston’s 2004 Super Bowl, few of the girlie-driven, booze-laden, big entertainment events are truly invitation only, though that might be the organizer’s spiel.

A quick Google search of Super Bowl parties reveals a plethora of open door opportunities to so-called private events, thanks to sites such as StubHub, On Point Events, PrimeSport, and SuperSundayHQ. But you’ll need seriously deep pockets.

No worries if, for example, you are salivating at the thought of sharing high fives with Rolling Stone publisher Jann Wenner when the magazine takes over the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston on February 3 with lavish assortments of food and drink and entertainment by Diplo, Nas Big Sean, and DJ Cassidy. It may be billed as invitation-only, but tickets are plentiful on the internet.

At Fanhospitality.com, all you need is a credit card and $750 for a lowly general admission ticket. Entry goes all the way up to $50,000 for you and 30 of your buds for a seriously VIP table.

Stubhub must have something really big in mind as high rollers can reserve the ultimate Rolling Stone VIP table for 10 for $84,269.66  For that you get expedited check-in, VIP security, VIP bathroom access ( makes us wonder what that means for the general admission folks), sponsored bottles from 9 to 2 a.m., dedicated VIP bar, on-site super premium bottle upgrades for purchase. Traveling solo, you can access SRO VIP tickets starting at $1,460.67. And if you are really living large, you might want to pony up $14,606.74 for the VIP VIP treatment.

In years past, the Maxim party has been the hard-to-get hot ticket. As the Maxim website notes: “Due to the exclusive nature of these legendary events, and very limited availability of access, we have a strict process for guests who wish to attend. Guests wishing to attend the February 4 bash must have a valid invitation code to arrange tickets & tables.” But if you are young and beautiful, it might not be quite the challenge. “Maxim is granting Sponsored Tickets to qualifying beautiful and stylish people to attend The Maxim Events,” according to the website.

For the less than lovely among the 3,000 expected guests, Vivid Seats can get you a slot at the party in Sugar Land’s brand new Smart Financial Centre. But where that seat might be for the starter price of $750 is a good question.

Iconic sports agent Leigh Steinberg’s charitable afternoon bash at Hughes Manor on February 4 is touted as invitation only but as the website notes, “Sponsorship opportunities may be available and may allow entry.” The site boasts attendance by NFL owners, coaches, general managers and celebs at this 30th Super Bowl super agent event. Perusing the internet, we found this portal to an invitation but apparently you’ll have to pass muster before prices are quoted and tickets reserved. Also, Leigh Steinberg’s team can set you up with a sponsorship at [email protected], but once again you’ll need to be hip, fabulous and somewhat rich.
