Who: Host Miz Massey; Nyala Nolen, who graciously donated her party-planning expertise for the evening; man of the hour artist Selven O’Keef Jarmon; wine man Brandon Luckett, of Branwar Wines, who donated the night’s vinos; Claire Smith of Canopy, capably catering and donating curated bites; Art League director Michael Peranteau, board president Sarah Bray, and board members Laynie Bracewell, and Robert Raney with wife Michelle Hung; Craig Massey and daughter Daria, a young art supporter; gallerist Betty Moody and curator pal Clint Willour; and new art czar with the City of Houston Debbie McNulty.

PC Moment: An ambitious and visionary project, Jarmon’s “360 Degrees Vanishing” will bead the Art League Houston — 500,000 beads onto 1,500 panels wrapping around the Montrose art oasis’ entire building. In a valiant push to raise the last chunk of change for the project, artists, designers and the politically inclined alike gathered to ensure Jarmon’s big-concept project comes through. A screen projected the history and mission of the project, which bridges the Eastern Cape of South Africa to Houston.
