What: The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary Fashion Show and Luncheon Announcement Party
Where: Market in Highland Park Village
PC Moment: Members of the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary gathered for the unveiling of the theme for their spring fashion show and luncheon: Fashion Is Art — You Are The Canvas! The theme debuted with flair as artist Carlos Nicholls of Planet Productions painted the words everyone had been waiting for.
Southern Methodist University grad and editor of HarpersBAZAAR.com Joyann King flew in for the announcement, which she celebrated alongside her mother, Women’s Auxiliary president Kathie King. She will also serve as emcee for the event in May.
Sips and bites were provided by Pioneer Wines and Lombardi Family Concepts Catering, and the backdrop for the evening — a large gold frame — housed the event logo designed by Lynn Dealey.
The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary Fashion Show and Luncheon: Fashion Is Art – You Are The Canvas! will be held Tuesday, May 2, at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center. The event is also presented by Highland Park Village and the Al G. Hill, Jr. Family.
