New State-of-the-Art Theater Creates Buzz in Galleria Area: Houston VIPs Flock to Opening

Where: The Christian theater company’s new home in the Galleria area

PC Moment: More than 450 guests packed the state-of-the-art theater, named for the company’s founders Jeannette Clift George and Lorraine M. George. Greetings were delivered by Ruth Graham, the daughter of the Rev. Billy Graham, and by Holly Alvis on behalf of her grandparents Janice and Bob McNair. Following a seated dinner by Culinaire in the grand foyer, guests made their way to the 450-seat theater where Jeannette Clift George was honored in a special tribute, followed by a standing ovation for the 91-year-old founder. The evening continued with the opening night performance of To Kill a Mockingbird.
